I Am Not AshamedSample
Withered.
“If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” John 15:6 KJV
Be not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ — for it is Christ who transforms your heart and gives you purpose. If you’re seeking purpose — seek Christ. If you’re looking to fill a void within the walls of your heart — choose to seek Christ. Christ is the only one who can fill what your heart has been longing for. Psalms 20:7 KJV declares, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Choose to place your trust in Christ. The temporary things of this world cannot satisfy you. Material things cannot fill the void that Christ wants to occupy. You choose. You can choose life and be satisfied in Christ or you can wither.
Maybe your heart is withering. Maybe you’re on your last leg. Maybe it feels like you want to throw in the towel. Don’t give up. Don’t give in. Christ wants to give you a second wind. Isaiah 40:31 KJV declares, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” In Matthew 11:28 KJV, Jesus declares, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Choose to connect to Christ — He is the True Vine.
John 15:6 KJV declares, “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “Abide” is, ‘Meno’ (G3306) which means, “To dwell, be present, to remain.” Choose to let Christ dwell within the borders of your heart. Choose to abide continually in His Presence and you will not wither.
About this Plan
Vance K. Jackson leads readers in this thought-provoking message. For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What is the Gospel? The Gospel is simply this: Adam, the first man, disobeyed God and as a result — mankind was bound to a life of sin. Mankind needed a Savior to deliver us out of Satan’s hand. Let Christ lead you as you read this life-transforming message.
