Great Adventurers (Week 1)

DAY 2 OF 7

Day Two - Born for this

Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.

This week we are going to be looking at Moses' life and how he was Born For This!

READ:

‘A Baby in a Basket’ in the Beginners Bible  - Pages 92-97 or in Exodus 2

Moses Mummy (Jochebed) was an Israelite woman and lived in Egypt at the time when Pharaoh wanted to get rid of all the Israelite Baby Boys.

Jochebed was very clever!  She made a basket to hide Moses in so that the Pharaohs men couldn’t find him.

Jochebed was also very courageous - she placed Moses in his basket on the water and trusted that God would look after him.

Pharaoh’s Daughter found the basket, opened it and saw the baby.  She named the baby Moses and said that she wanted to keep him!

God knew that Pharaoh’s Daughter would want to keep Moses…..God always knows!  This is all part of God’s plan for Moses!

Moses was born for this!

ASK:

Can you think of a time when the plans you had didn’t work out BUT you still had a great time?

Sometimes our plans are not the best plans - God knows what we need and when we need it - trust God, He knows best!

Gods plan is the best plan and YOU ARE BORN FOR THIS!

REMEMBER:

‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19;26)

SAY:

I'm an adventurer, I am bold, I am strong, With the word of the Lord, I will follow, Wherever you lead, I won't stop, I've been set free! Amen!

Day 1Day 3

About this Plan

Great Adventurers (Week 1)

In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world that they live in for good. God can take even the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we‘re looking at the story of Moses and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
