"Who is Jesus? He is Worthy to be Worshipped"

The key activity of heaven is the worship of God. In Revelation chapters 4 and 5 we catch a glimpse of the continuous worship and praise of God by heavenly beings. And the focus of worship in Chapter 5 is Jesus, the Lamb of God – and he is worshipped as he, through his blood, has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. He has made them a kingdom of priests to God and they shall reign on the earth. Jesus, the Son of God is worshipped and the songs of praise in heaven declare that He is worthy to receive all power and wealth and wisdom and might and honour and glory and blessing! Jesus is worthy of our worship.


Heavenly Father, we join the hosts of heaven to worship Jesus, the Son of God who is also the Lamb of God who takes away our sin and makes us your sons and daughters. He gives us abundant, eternal life. In Jesus’ name.
