Praying God's Truth Over My FearsSample
Struggling to Forgive
The forgiveness God offers us is beyond our understanding. Our good God has forgiven us of all our sins. Even though we don’t grasp it, we certainly want to accept it. Yet, when someone does something to hurt, wound, or offend us, it’s not quite as easy to forgive, is it? We should be people who not only receive God’s forgiveness, but extend it to others as well.
Today’s Prayer
Lord, You don’t deal with us according to our sins or repay us according to our iniquities. Thank You! You’re compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love. You’ve given us redemption through the blood of Jesus and the forgiveness of sins according to Your rich grace. We have all sinned and fallen short of Your glory. While we were still sinners, You sent Jesus to die for us. Therefore, I’ll be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving just as You forgave me in Christ . God, I’ll bear with and forgive others who have hurt me. I’ll be merciful as You are merciful.
