R.O.B. Fear

DAY 3 OF 10

I R.O.B. fear of its power when I live like fear isn’t a part of me.

When you read Psalm 91, you might wonder, “What does it mean to rest in the shadow of the most high God?”

It means that rest and peace are in your heart because you love God, and trust in Him. That’s who you are. You know that fear is not a part of you because God’s everywhere, looking over everything, and working it out for His perfect plan.

And what’s that got to do with robbing fear of its power? Everything. Because in Psalm 91, God promises to save the ones who love Him, to keep those who trust Him safe, to answer those who call out to Him, and be with them in their times of trouble.

If you can remember that truth, you can use it every time to R.O.B. fear of its power.

Talk it over: Think of a fear you need to fight. It can be a new fear, or one you’ve fought before. Which verse from Psalm 91 will help you R.O.B. that fear of its power the most? Use the verse you choose to R—remember God’s truth, O—open your mouth and say it out loud, and B—battle it out by doing the good thing you’re afraid to do.
