"Look Upon The Lord"
When I think about the glory of God, I’m left speechless. He is so good and His mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:1). The Heavens are constantly singing His praises in worship. It’s described in the book of Revelation like this,
“Day after day and night after night they keep on saying, ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty—the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.’ Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”
Revelation 4:8-11 (NLT)
The angels can sing this all the time because they always see a new facet of God. They are constantly bowing and worshipping and never cease in singing “Holy, Holy.”
In the same way, God wants to reveal Himself to us in new, incredible ways. We only need look to Him and be left in awe of His greatness, His beauty, His majesty, His glory. Look upon the Lord today.
