The New Testament in 90 DaysSample
Introduction to Second Timothy
Paul wrote this second letter to Timothy around A.D. 67. Timothy had been the pastor at Ephesus for four years. At the time, Paul was in a Roman prison because Christians became the focus of the Roman emperor Nero. He knew his life was nearing the end so he encouraged and challenged Timothy to stay strong. Paul was arrested, persecuted, and eventually beheaded by Roman officials after he wrote this letter to Timothy.
