FAVOR

DAY 20 OF 21

" . . . Yet not as I will, but as you will." Matthew 26:39

"And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit." Matthew 27:50

Jesus possessed the fullness of the favor of God on earth. Though he loved well and performed miracles everywhere he went during his three years of ministry, he was also a man who was hated and crucified.

Favor does not always ease our path. Favor can promote us to a place of recognition that attracts judgment and jealousy. Favor can increase our responsibilities and raise the level of expectation that people place on us. Favor can accentuate our Kingdom purpose, but it does not assure rapport among our peers. If there is ugly in the world around us, favor will draw it out.

Though there may be trials, take heart, Jesus has overcome the world! Our suffering on earth is temporary, and His rewards are eternal. God's favor in our lives isn't to glorify us, but to glorify Him—so that His will may be accomplished on earth through our lives.

Despite your critics, claim the favor of God in your life today and use it for His kingdom purposes!
