Living in the NewSample
Living in the NEW
So now that we have the Good News which has brought us back into this new creation, we should actively start living in this ‘new’. It isn’t some magic; it does require some effort from your side.
The devil is constantly trying to shift your sight from this good news and bring you back to thinking that it isn’t really practical or realistic. The moment we start thinking that, the devil’s mission has been accomplished. He has successfully put the same doubt in you that he put into Eve in the garden of Eden.
In Hebrews, the writer talks about ‘listening very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.’ This is exactly what drives our faith.
If we start listening to the bad news of the flesh, such as the bad news of reports, the bad news of circumstances, the bad news of the doctors and governments, then we will not be listening to the truth that will establish us, and thus, we will come into a place of doubt and confusion and chaos. Rather, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of Christ, I urge you now to start constantly listening to this good news so that it will stir you up unto glory.
Have you ever seen a big plane attempting a landing in heavy crosswinds? The plane's nose does not line up to the runway the way you would expect for it. The plane looks like it is going somewhere else; it looks likes it is not landing the right way, and it looks scary. Right until touch down when everything settles right, and we will have a perfectly safe landing. If the plane’s nose didn’t fight against the drift continuously until it finally landed, it would miss the tarmac and crash.
It’s the same with our faith. If we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we have it all. So have faith in this good news that Jesus has brought us. No matter how it looks, fight to live in this new creation, and it will all be worth it. And you will know that God is Good.
Go on...live in your promised land and possess its fruit.
About this Plan
Until we go to our eternal destiny, we live our lives here on this earth, the other side of heaven. In this Bible plan, Sarat Yellasiri describes the power that Christ has left with us to live this life to the fullest. But unfortunately, we aren't aware of how to do this. Embark on a journey to see a fuller picture to greatly understand the things of God.
