New Breed - Keeping Your Newness AliveSample
Stay Focused
Don’t lose your wonder. After a season of absolute awe and new learnings about God, did you go through a phase where you felt like you lost that amazement? In Psalms 139:6 while talking about God’s love and knowledge of us, David says, “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.”
While you fix your eyes on Jesus, it is also important to explore and receive new revelations about God. God’s work is too vast for us to measure and too profound for us to fathom, however, God is gracious to give us glimpses of His Glory when we love Him and long to know more. These continuous revelations about God will unquestionably leave you in wonder, fueling your love and passion for God.
In the monotony created, many Christians almost lose the realization of the authority that we have as sons and daughters of God.
Don’t ever become passive about the passion you carried and casual about the mission you committed your life to.
What are some creative ways you can think of to remind yourself and always hold on to that “wonder”?
Start practicing them and list down all that amazes you. Psalms 139 holds a beautiful list of revelations about God. Though David’s thought was directed towards asking God to search him and know his heart is true, his revelation of God gave him hope that his God knew him better than anyone could ever know.
