Passion For The HarvestSample

Jesus tells us how to fully experience God’s passionate love for people when he says:

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8).

To be filled with God’s passionate love for others, you must ask, seek, and knock. God’s passion only comes from a persistent pursuit of His heart through His Word and prayer. So, ask for God’s fullness in your life. Seek God’s presence. Knock until God fills you with a passionate love for others.

Take some time to pray this prayer:

God, I want the passion You have for the lost to become my passion. I ask that from on high, You send fire into my bones just as You did to Jeremiah. Let this fire burn away anything that is keeping me from experiencing Your divine passion. Following the example of Your passionate Son, I want to “seek the lost” and help others become followers of Christ. Amen.

Today, be challenged to earnestly pray this prayer, love others, and see God use your life for His glory.
