Swift to Hear and Slow to SpeakSample
Before You Speak...Consider One Another.
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:” Hebrews 10:24 KJV
Before you prematurely speak, consider one another. Before you become offended, consider one another. Before your heart becomes hardened—choose to consider one another. Hear their heart and don’t let your heart become blocked by the offense or transgression of the past.
Let the past go. Forgive freely and be set free. Matthew 18:21-22 KJV declares, “Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” Forgive continually. Forgive frequently. Forgive and be ready to listen.
Offense blocks your perspective. Offense blocks your heart. Offense will keep you in bondage. Choose to forgive freely and let the past go. Let God mature your heart. Let God transform you from the inside out. Let His power lead you. Let Christ lead your language.
Before you speak, choose your words wisely. Before you speak, be swift to hear what others have to say. Before you speak, be swift to hear what His Word has to say. Surrender to God. Let Christ lead you.
