At Midnight: Seeing Victory in Your SituationSample
IT IS SO
“In the storm You are peace
And your love won't let me go
You have spoken
And I know that it is so”
We all want to worry less, but anxiety has a way of creeping into the edges of our lives.
You aren’t sure how that situation at work will turn out.
You aren’t sure if you’re parenting the right way.
You aren’t sure if you reacted the way you should have.
You aren’t sure if the relationships in your life are the right ones.
If you dig a little deeper into what’s making you worried or anxious, uncertainty is probably at the root of it. And instead of telling God, “I trust that You know what You’re doing,” we often try to lean on our own strength to get through it all.
We put our faith in ourselves which is what ultimately leads to us losing our peace.
There is a different way to live, though, and Jeremiah 17:7-8 speaks to it:
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
Whatever you’re facing today, be comforted by the fact that you actually don’t need certainty in “it,” you simply need to place your confidence in the God who can speak over it.
About this Plan
