Reset: Diligence Is a Choice. It’s Time to Execute.Sample
The Slothful Man.
“The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.” Proverbs 12:27 KJV
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Slothful” is, ‘rĕmiyah’ (H7423) which means, “Laxness, slackness, slackening, deceit, treachery.” The Bible declares in Proverbs 12:27 KJV, that the slothful does not roast what he catches. In other words, the slothful does not finish the job. The slothful does not complete the job. The slothful is lax. The slothful halfway completes the task(s) that are assigned to him.
Are you slothful? Is there an area in your life that’s full of sloth? Is there an area in your business that’s slothful? Is there an area in your process that’s slothful, lax or halfway completed? Don’t bring sloth in with you into the next season. Leave sloth behind.
What task(s) has God given you to complete? What is your assignment? Choose to complete the job at hand. Don’t be slothful. Fully complete your assignment.
Proverbs 12:27 AMPC declares, “The slothful man does not catch his game or roast it once he kills it, but the diligent man gets precious possessions.” Don’t halfway complete the assignment. Complete the job. Finish the assignment. Complete the contract. Fulfill what you’ve promised. Roast what you’ve caught. Complete what you’ve started.
The diligent believes that his or her assignment is precious. The diligent executes until the job is finished. Roast your catch. Don’t be lazy. Don’t be slothful. Proverbs 12:27 NLT declares, “Lazy people don’t even cook the game they catch, but the diligent make use of everything they find.”
Make use of every opportunity. Seek and submit to God’s Way of doing things. Surrender to His Plan. Surrender to Christ and let God lead the work of your hands.
Action:
Do not halfway complete the assignment. Choose to complete your task(s). Use what’s in your hand. Roast what’s in front of you. Complete your assignment and then move on to the next task.
