A Great MultitudeSample
Pride Will Lead To Destruction.
“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” Isaiah 14:12-14 KJV
Lucifer was cut down to the ground when he decided to exalt himself higher than God — Lucifer lost his position. Pride will cause you to lose your authority. Pride will cause you to lose your position. Proverbs 16:18 KJV declares, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”
Pride will destroy you. A puffed up heart will crush you. Haughtiness will blind you. Let God lead your heart. Let God order your steps. Submit yourself to His Will. Surrender your heart to Him. Let Christ lead and mold your course.
Your gifts were given to you by God — they were not meant to be worshipped. You were not created to be worshipped. You were created to worship God. Selflessly surrender your gifts to the One who gave them to you. He is the Creator of all things and we are His creation.
1 Peter 5:6 KJV declares, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” Pride is the antithesis of humility. Humility will promote you. Pride will crush you. Humble yourself under God’s Way of doing things and He will exalt you — in His timing. “A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.” Proverbs 29:23 KJV
Action:
Surrender every gift, talent and ability to God. Humble yourself and let God use you at home, in the workplace, in business and in ministry. Choose to selflessly serve Him in every area of your life.
Surrender to Him daily. Let pride die. Submit your heart and the work of your hands to Him daily.
