DAY 4 OF 5

Move

You’ve probably heard phrases like “God has a calling on your life” or “He has a greater purpose for you.” All these clever lines end up doing is putting pressure on the concept of “finding your destiny.”

But how can we find our “exciting” calling when our lives are often lived in the ordinary? Cooking dinner, going to work, investing time in your relationships, getting your car fixed, etc... none of it looks like a calling.

In reality, answering God’s call isn’t always glamorous. It can be mundane. Often, it can even be uncertain or risky.

Maybe a new opportunity has come up at work.

Maybe your family is considering making a big change.

Maybe a relationship feels right and you’re wondering if it’s time to “get serious.”

Maybe you’re thinking about continuing your education.

Maybe, maybe, maybe…

Uncertainty can be uncomfortable for us, but God loves “maybe.” It’s where He does some of His best work. “Maybe” is where faith happens, and “Uncertainty” is where you can show God that you trust Him.

God’s call often feels like risk and looks like uncertainty. That’s why we need the faith to move on a “maybe.”

Once you’re willing — once you’ve told God that you’re ready to take the risk — you unlock a new level of availability. This doesn’t just invite God in; it says, “I’m yours.”

What’s one area where you can take a step and act on a “maybe” in your life? It might be an important decision, a small move, a vulnerable conversation, or simply acting on your God-given authenticity. Whatever it is, put it into motion today.

Day 3Day 5

About this Plan

Available: Breaking Through “Busy” to Connect with God

“Sorry, God, I’m not available right now.” We’d never say that, but are our actions saying it for us? If you’re stuck in a rut, stressed, or anxious, make yourself available to God. In this 5-day devotional, learn specific ways you can be present with God and invite Him to work in your life, and start experiencing the peace, strength, and joy that comes from being available.
