Walk in FaithSample
PERSONAL FAITH
In 1893, an engineer named George Ferris built a machine which he named the ”Ferris Wheel”. When he managed to complete the machine, he called a reporter from a local newspaper to accompany him and his wife to try the wheel.
It was a windy day in July, and the strong breeze blew against the Ferris wheel. Even though the wind was blowing, the Ferris wheel functioned properly. After going one round, Ferris asked the wheel to be stopped so that he, his wife and the reporter could hop on it. They braved themselves and managed to ride the Ferris wheel despite the wind. They proved their faith in the wheel by their actions.
Ferris started the experiment with the knowledge that he could ride on the machine and the machine was safe for riding. His wife and the reporter believed that the machine could work based on what was said by the inventor. However, only after the three of them rode on the machine, we could say, that they had personal faith in the machine.
Devotion:
The courage to do something is needed when we want to walk in faith. Many times we only have faith but no courage to take the risk to do something. Can we believe that something is going to happen when we have faith and walk in faith? Let us take a step of faith and believe that God is going to act with His power.
My experience of faith demands me to throw all my worries away to Jesus and trust Him that He will grant His victorious results to me. (Anonymous)
