Reclaimed Perseverance: Never Give Up!

DAY 3 OF 3

And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)

Are you tired and weary? Do you need to be set free from constantly wanting to throw in the towel? There is a peace found in knowing that we can be set free from those thoughts, through Him.

Oftentimes, this feeling is credited to the lies we choose to believe about ourselves and the world around us. Lies that can cause unwise and unfair comparisons of other people around us. It is unfair to compare your real life to someone else's social media highlights and "perfected" photoshopped life. The Bible says it is unwise to compare ourselves to each other. Rather, it is the truth of God's Word that will fuel us to want to live our lives on purpose for His purpose.

It is vital to get into God’s Word and establish a foundation of truth that you stand on. The truth is that there are times  you can be plagued with nagging thoughts that try to convince you that you are not good enough, or that you will never measure up to the highlights of someone else’s life. The issue at hand is that lies of the enemy come to create barriers and limitations in your life. Don’t allow the taunting lies of the enemy to belittle you and blind you from seeing God’s goodness that is available to you. Refuse to give up until you see what God has promised you. This is made easier once you determine in your mind to silence the lies of the enemy.

One of the ways that I had to silence the lies in my own mind was by allowing what God said in His Word to be louder than the lies. When I realized who I was in Christ, it changed everything. It helped me to see the enemy for who he was. There are thoughts that are no longer permitted to take  up residence in my mind because it is contrary to truth of God’s Word. Not being ignorant of the enemy’s devices gives us the upper hand. In John 8:44 it notifies that the enemy is known as the father of lies, and the accuser of the brethren (John 12:9). Therefore, we should believe the opposite of his lies. If he says your defeated you should know it must mean you’re a champion because all he can do is lie. So the next time you are faced with wanting to give up remember that God has a plan for your life and a future filled with hope for you. As Psalms 27:13 says “I am confident and certain of this that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living”.

Reflection

Silence the lies that tell you that you won’t get through this. The sooner that you decide to silence the lies the quicker you will recognize the truth of what God has spoken over you. You will see that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You must know that you can make it. Overcoming is in your DNA. Chain breaking is in your bloodline. Remind yourself that you have the mind of Christ and you have authority to take captive every thought that goes against what God says.

Day 2

About this Plan

Reclaimed Perseverance: Never Give Up!

As we face many setbacks and trials we have to determine that we will never give up on God’s purpose for our lives. We see many examples in the Bible where people have come face to face with giving up, or persevering through their situation. Upon completion of this plan I pray you are encouraged to continue on your course no matter how difficult it may be at times.
