He Set The Captives Free.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭4:18-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Christ came to set the captives free. Christ came to set the bound free. Christ came to heal the sick. Christ came to set you free. It does not matter what sin had you bound — Christ came to set you free. It does not matter what addiction had you enslaved to its grip — Christ came to set you free. It does not matter how wounded you were — Christ came to set you free. 

There is no bondage that Christ cannot break. There is no wound that He cannot heal. Christ is stronger than any infirmity that you face. Christ is stronger than your doubt — Christ will deliver you out of every one of your fears. There is no weapon that the enemy can form against you that will prosper. There is no javelin that the enemy can throw at you that will succeed against you. There is no snare or trap that the enemy can set that will destroy you. Christ came to set you free. 

Christ is bigger than your sin. Christ is bigger than your past. When you are in Christ, the stronghold of sin cannot keep you captive. When you are in Christ, you serve Him and not sin. When you are in Christ, you are not a servant of sin — you are a Servant of Christ.  

Entanglement is a choice. You can choose to serve Christ or you can serve the gods of this world. “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua‬ ‭24:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Obedience is a choice. Submission is a daily decision. Freedom is a choice. When you are in Christ, God has given you the gift of freedom. Do not turn back. Surrender to Him. Fill your house with His Word. Fill your heart with His Way of doing things. Let Christ fill every area of your life with His Power. When Christ delivers you from the sin of the past — choose not to turn back. Let the past go and be set free. 

“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:24-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬
