"Sexodus" Relationships DevotionalSample

Kingdom First
Isn't it interesting how when we seem to be most desperate and most interested in making a relationship appear and work for us that we often end up more stressed and confused than ever? Jesus is stating a life principle here in this first passage that applies to all areas of life as well as our finances - when we care about the things that He cares about first and foremost, He takes care of the rest. In fact, in John 15 Jesus says we can't even truly have or do anything of significance apart from Him anyway! What it honestly comes down to is trust - do you trust that God will be faithful in His promise here or are you still worried you have to make things work out for yourself?
If this is something you struggle with, confess this to God this morning and ask Him to help you to trust Him and take Him at His Word.
