For Those Who Are Thirsty Sample
Water Flowing Within
You are thirsty for something better and something deeper in your life. Your thirst is not for short-term satisfaction, but for the truths of Scripture to be true in your life. Jesus’ invitation is wide open. He says, whoever. He says anyone who is thirsty. Everyone can come to Him.
Belief in Christ is what quenches our thirst. Believe that Jesus is the Living Water. Believe that His grace is enough. Believe that He is the One who gives us true security. He is the One we can trust. He is the One who sings the song of victory. He is coming again. He is not coming to take sides, but to take over. His attention is the only attention that matters.
Whoever believes in Jesus, as the Scripture says, will have streams of Living Water flowing from within. When Jesus promised this, He meant that he would send the Holy Spirit to those who believed in Him. This would happen after Jesus died on the cross, lay in the tomb, rose again, and ascended into Heaven. Before then, Jesus had not yet been glorified. But now Jesus has been glorified, and all He promised is available to all who come to Him to slake their thirst.
When you trust Jesus Christ as your Savior, the Holy Spirit of God dwells in your heart. He lives inside you and empowers so that Living Water can flow through you to others.
The Holy Spirit’s indwelling results in Living Water’s flowing. God’s love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. He is our Advocate and teaches us the truth, reminding us of all Jesus said and did. He comforts us when we are sad or worried, when we experience the ups and downs of life. He builds us up. He equips us. He gives us gifts to serve God and to serve others. His power flows through our lives. He energizes us. And He helps us bear fruit to please God. Pay attention to what He is prompting you to do this day. Listen to Him.

About this Plan
This plan is based on the invitation that Jesus issued in John 7:37–39. In seven meditations, you will reflect upon the thirst that only Jesus can satisfy, how belief in Christ can quench that thirst, what Jesus meant when He invited all who are thirsty to come to Him, and what He promises will happen to those who believe in Him and whose hearts are indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
