Walking With Him Daily Romans Bible PlanSample
Day 6
Read – Romans 6
Romans 6: 22 - 23 "But now, since you have been liberated from sin and have become enslaved to God, you have your fruit, which results in sanctification - and the end is eternal life! For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
So what Paul is saying here is that since we are saved by grace, we are to be slaves to righteousness. This means that we no longer have an obligation to sin, but we have an obligation to follow righteousness. And since we have an obligation to follow righteousness, we will be known by the fruit we produce in doing so. And if we do this, we will be sanctified and that road leads to eternal life! How often do you think of your relationship with God as being a slave to a master? Many times Paul refers to being a slave to God. When you think about your relationship with God that way, it begins to change the way you think. You start to think that "I am here to serve Him, not Him for me". You think about what can I do for my Master, not how He can help me. Lift this concept up in prayer today. God you are my master and I seek to do Your will; make it known in my life today!
