Reclaiming The Peace Of God Sample
Peace be Still
While Jesus was resting peacefully, the disciples found themselves in a panic because of the storm that was raging against their boat. As they frantically awoke Jesus, questioning if He cared if they perished or not, they forgot what He promised them prior.
Jesus had just spent hours speaking parables and took additional time to explain the parables to His disciples. Once He completed that, He assured His disciples that they were going to make it to the other side. This sounds far too familiar to me because earlier in my faith I can recall times of struggling with fear. Often fear came knocking at my door a little after a promise of God was given to me.
Jesus had just told them about the parable of the sower and how the cares of this life would come to try to uproot the seed of God’s promise.
“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39 NKJV
No matter what most is pressing in your life right now, you can take that care and put God's Word there instead. Exchange any form of worry with the truth of God's love and power. Then you can trust that God will do as He says: "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3 NKJV).
As you ponder on God's promises, panic turns to praise, praise turns to peace, and peace turns to sleep. I begin to understand what Paul meant when he said you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. (Philippians 4:7). Jesus can speak one word and cause peace to stand in your life. Every storm, every wind, every chaotic thing that is whirling out of control in your life has to cease and become calm at the authority of the words of Jesus.
Father God, I ask you to have your way in my life. You are the wonderful counselor, my redeemer and my friend and I need you every day of my life. Lord I surrender every care and worry to you and ask you to perfect those things which concern me. I put my trust in your word and your promises and I know that they will not return to you void.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

About this Plan
This plan is about experiencing the peace of God through intimacy and time in His Word. It is vital to know how to manage your peace while allowing God to put you back together piece by piece. Everyone has a moment of brokenness in their lives but how they are put back together is determined by what they do with the pieces.
