Living With PurposeSample
Faith
Faith is trusting in God and believing in what we cannot see but can feel in our hearts. Faith is like the wind. We cannot see the wind, but we can feel it and we can see the effects of the wind. We can be confident that if Jesus said that He will always be with us, that He will keep His word. Even when you think that you are all alone, you are not. Jesus is right there with you. He will not bother you unless you want to talk to Him. Jesus is a good big brother and will not do anything to harm you. He loves you! You can always count on Jesus.
Jesus knows what it is like to go through what you are going through. The reason that He came to live on earth as a man, was to be able to relate to you. Jesus knows that sometimes it is hard to obey Mom and Dad, especially when you think they are wrong. Jesus knows this. Jesus empowers you to live a life of purpose so that you can be like Him and bring your Heavenly Father glory. To accomplish this task, you will need faith. Faith is a requirement to live your life with Jesus Christ.
One day, as Jesus was teaching by a lake, He asked a fisherman named Simon if He could go out on the lake in his boat to speak to the crowd. Simon agreed. When Jesus was done talking to the crowd, He told Simon to row the boat out to the deep part of the lake and throw the nets to catch fish. Simon replied, “We have tried that all night and have not caught anything, but because you are asking me to, I will do it.” Simon and his fellow fishermen did as Jesus asked them to do and they caught so many fish that the nets were tearing from all that weight!
Even when things don’t look like they are going your way, have faith in Jesus’ word, He will always be there for you.
