Think of the most annoying person you know. Did someone come to mind? Probably! Now, it may be asking a lot, but try to put yourself in their shoes—in their family situation, in their classes, with all the specific pressures and worries they carry from day to day. Now, ask God to help you to see that person as God sees them: a child that He created in His own image and someone He loves deeply, just like He loves you! 

In today’s verse, Paul encourages us to “bear with one another in love.”But first, he reminds us to be humble, gentle, and patient, which are all things that help us walk alongside those we find difficult or annoying. 

This week, make it your goal to show patience and kindness toward the person who came to mind today, but first ask God to help you see them the way He sees them.
