Have you ever been on the receiving end of some constructive criticism? Maybe a parent told you that you weren’t showing enough kindness to your siblings. Maybe a friend confronted you about a choice they saw you make. Or maybe your Small Group Leader talked to you about the way you speak to other people. 

Honestly, we’ve all been there! While the truth can hurt sometimes, it also has the potential to make us better—if we’re willing to receive it. 

Today’s Proverb reminds us that we become wise when we take in those constructive words of those close to us and apply them to our lives. Who is someone you trust to tell you the truth and give you constructive criticism? Make sure that they know they have permission to be honest with you in love, even if it’s sometimes hard to hear.
