How Can I Serve the Church?
Hello! I’m so excited we’ve made it to the third day together! I, your Bible Plan, get so lonely when you’re gone. And I’ve been so excited for us to talk about today’s question.
Today, we’re asking, “How can I serve the Church?” I can’t wait for us to answer that. But first, you might be asking, “Why should I serve?” You’re getting pretty great at asking good questions. I love that. Let’s explore the “why” before the “how.” Watch this.
Okay, now you get why you should serve. But now you want to know how. Well, this is the part I’ve been so excited to tell you about. There are no limits as to how you can serve the Church! Everything you do should be done for the glory of God. Everything! You can view your whole life as service to God. So, whenever you serve another person who belongs to God’s family, you’re serving the Church!
You could help someone make a meal, clean their house, work on their yard, study for a test, learn their multiplication tables, feed their cat, walk their dog, teach younger kids at your church, maybe you could help set up any refreshments you have at your church, I mean—this list can be as long as your imagination.
Still not sure how you can serve the Church? Ask yourself these questions: What am I pretty good at? What do I enjoy doing? How could I use those things to help others?
You’re getting really close to answering how you can serve the Church! Tomorrow, we’re going to talk about how you’re not a wolf! It’s sure to be a howling good time! Get it? Because wolves? Okay. I’m a Bible Plan, not a comedian. I get it. Just trust me. It’s gonna be interesting!
