Summer- Written by Rose Snowzell
Day 17 - HEAL
Many of us can identify areas of our lives, and in the lives of our loved ones, that require some healing, Ecclesiastes 3:3.
It is said that laughter is the best medicine. Anyone who has accidentally let an awkward laugh slip at an inappropriate moment will let you know that this isn’t necessarily the case, but joy, thankfulness, and fun certainly can be good for us.
Summer is not just a feel-good time of frivolity, it is also a time of provision and growth. The fruit tastes sweeter and the flowers bloom brighter. As God so generously fills our world with flavour and colour in our summertimes, what better time to claim the promises of healing God gives us in his word? There is a time to heal; a season set apart. Reflect on the healing you’ve already received, and present your prayerful requests to God for the healing you’re ready to see and let’s believe for the summer blooms that we have yet to see.
What healing have you experienced?
Where are you believing to see a breakthrough in healing, personally and for others?
Sometimes simply being in the presence of a loving God, and reflecting on the goodness of His character, can bring a healing perspective to us. Remind yourself of how much He wants to bless your life with healing in the areas where it is needed. You could start by declaring some of His promises over the areas of your life where restoration is still needed like Psalm 30:2. As other parts of your world feel abundant and blessed, command the goodness of God in the dry places too.
How can you contend for new healing, personally or for those around you?
