Walking In FavorSample
Walking in favor was something that took me awhile to fully understand.
I used to think that if I went to church regularly, and I prayed, that I was walking in favor. But the favor of God requires more than reluctant obedience. It requires more than an investment.
Walking in favor requires your full, complete, undivided attention.
It requires you to be fully involved.
Favor of God requires you to be plugged in.
The circuit of God’s favor cannot be completed until you are part of the cycle! Walking in favor takes effort. Ultimately, having the favor of God requires your decision. It doesn’t come to those who wait.
It requires action.
God is everywhere. We can try running from God, pretending that He doesn’t know, but we are ALWAYS in God’s sight. But being in God’s sight doesn’t mean that you are in His intimate presence. It does not mean that you are walking in favor.
You can still be present without taking part!
Jonah thought that he could hide from God. When God told Jonah to go one way, he decided to go in another direction. Jonah hid as a stowaway on a boat, and yet he thought that he was still in favor. Understand that Jonah was wrong! The presence and favor of God goes before you to prepare your place of blessing only when you are in agreement with His will over your life.
Walking in Favor only happens when you follow the word of the Lord. When you follow the word of the Lord, then you will be blessed, and walk in that blessing. There is no other way!
Walking in another direction, against the word of the Lord is to make the decision to leave the presence. To leave the favor behind you.
People who give up their favorable lives find that things begin to change rapidly. People who once had joy, strength, and peace will one day realize that they haven’t felt those emotions for a long time. That they haven’t been blessed since the day that they chose to walk away from Favor!
When I was out of the will of God, walking in rebellion, trying to do my own deal, I realized that I could not bear the weight of life’s storms on my own.
Walking in favor is allowing God to bear them.

About this Plan
Walking along the path of God requires us to make a conscious effort. The path that He has set before us isn’t always an easy one, but it’s the one that we need. If it was easy, then everyone would do it! In his latest plan, David Villa discusses the idea of walking His path and reaching the full potential that God has for us. This is Walking In Favor.
