The Basic Training Challenge – The Church Then And NowSample

Day 8 — Force Multiplier
Pray:
Lord God, quiet my soul and open my mind and heart to receive Your Word. Amen.
Read: Acts 11:1-30
Reflect
In the time of Jesus, Jewish law forbid eating certain animals as they were considered unclean. In the same way, Jewish leaders frowned on Jews mingling with non-Jews. God expands Peter’s mission to reach both Jews and Gentiles. Why would God allow Peter to eat food prohibited by the Jewish law? What important lesson did God teach in the vision he gave Peter? What did Barnabas think about the new church in Antioch, and what does he do? How does God encourage me in my faith?
Respond
I will be courageous in dealing with those who criticize You and will share Tour story of redemption with all I meet. Amen.
