Elihu’s Response.
When you study Elihu’s response, starting in Job Chapter 32, his response was wedged after Job’s response and right before God’s response.
When you are facing the battle of your life, many times, you are wedged in between facts, opinions and The Truth. Consider the facts, discern and sift through opinion but confess and hold on to God’s Truth.
Fact: Job had lost family, wealth, and health. Opinion: His friends considered possible entry points of Job’s sin. Although Job was innocent, his friends tried to point out his error that could have caused Job’s seeming demise. Job’s friends gave counsel without wisdom, insight or revelation on Job’s situation. Truth: God thought highly of Job, “Then the Lord asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil.” Job 1:8 NLT
God’s thoughts concerning you remains the same — He thinks highly of you. Stay focused on God’s Word. Cling to what God is saying about you and what He has said about you. Identify the Elihu in your corner and remember opinions are just that — opinions. However, when wisdom speaks, you’re aligning your path with what God is saying. Connect with wisdom. Connect with God. Who is your Elihu?
