Cheers To The Diaper Years

DAY 5 OF 5

Prayer # 5: Love Like You

After everything we have learned about Mom life this week, I hope you walk away with one very important truth: There is no more important role on this earth than the role of a mother. Our babies need many things from us, but the most important one is love. When it seems like you can’t get anything right, and the walls are closing in, focus on loving your little ones, and God will help you put everything else back into its place, or perhaps better stated, back into perspective. Join me in prayer, will you?

Father,

Thank you for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for believing in me—even when I don’t believe in myself. Thank you for seeing the potential in me and providing me opportunities to reach it.

Now, I ask you to help me model that same agape love for my children. May they know that I love them more than they could ever fathom. That I would do anything on this earth to provide them comfort, safety, and happiness. Even when things seem out of control, may they recognize the constant mainstay in our home: my love for each of them. Most importantly, may they see my light shine for you in this dark world.

Help me be the example of love and kindness I desire for them. May they find a safe haven in my presence that allows them to be vulnerable before you and me. Place in their hearts a trust first for you and second for me. Help them to know I will always be there no matter the circumstances.

Provide me opportunities to share your love and model your humility. Lend me the strength to always walk in grace. Amen.

All my love,

Thankful Momma

Day 4

About this Plan

Cheers To The Diaper Years

As moms, we drive ourselves crazy striving for perfection. We try to prepare the healthiest meals, install the safest car seats, plan the best birthdays, yet we lie awake at night wondering if we’re doing enough. The pressures are overwhelming. God selected you to parent your child. You can survive the diaper years because you are more than enough in Christ. Cheers to the grace and goodness found in him!
