Just Jesus: Answers For LifeSample
Joy
When you truly love and enjoy someone, you take delight in them, no matter what, and just because of who they are. This kind of deep internal joy is what Jesus gives you. When Jesus enters your heart, He genetically modifies your spiritual DNA so that joy is actually integrated into your spirit. It will never leave. It is why you can hold onto it even in the midst of turbulent times. It has nothing to do with your circumstances but rather is a deep connected knowing and experiencing of God’s good and wonderful personality. God always delights in you and rejoices every day over what He created in you. When you delight in Who He Is, you will keep this eternal joy in your heart.
Memory Verse
“...Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.” John 16:24.
Declaration Prayer
I will clap my hands and shout with joy! I eat and drink with gladness and a joyful heart because it’s alright with God. I may not see Jesus in person, yet I love him. I still don’t see him, yet I trust him—with laughter and singing. I’ll keep on believing, and I’ll get what I’m looking forward to: total salvation. God, the source of my hope, fills me completely with joy and peace because I trust in Him. Then I will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. I am filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. The joy of the Lord is my strength. Then I will hold my head high above my enemies who surround me. At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy, singing and praising the LORD with music.
