Driven Or Distracted?

DAY 4 OF 4

There's Hope

There is no such thing as too far gone when your heart is open to receiving all the love God wants to give you. You may feel that your distractions have destroyed you. You may even feel like your struggles are a result of how someone else's distractions affected them. You might be thinking that your distractions are never going away.

You are not alone! I heard a story once of an abandoned boy (or at least he felt abandoned because his father was an addict and his teenage mother couldn't raise him) and I think it's safe to say that he went through life feeling lost, confused and victimized because of the actions of other people. All of the feelings he felt were valid. Even as an adult he had to be around the parents who were now able but still unwillingly to care for him as their child.

His struggles could have defined him and distracted him from having faith in God. He could have let his past hold the keys to his future by always replaying regret in his mind. Instead, he changed his mindset and chose to have hope for a better tomorrow. He wanted things to be better and he knew that God could help him in all aspects of life more than he could help himself.

The moral of the story is that he gave God permission to lead him knowing that the journey wouldn't always be perfect. Matthew 21:22 says that if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

Always remain hopeful as you put your faith in God. There is nothing too hard for God to drive you through and to.

Reflection:

What has caused you to lose hope? What are you struggling with that you want God to help you get through?

Believe that God can help you and ask him for help in prayer.

Day 3

About this Plan

Driven Or Distracted?

Are you driven or distracted? A dressed up distraction can point you in the opposite direction of your purpose if you are not careful. A distraction is a diversion of your dream. In this plan you will gain an understanding of how to propel your purpose forward by identifying the right drive and limiting distractions.
