YOU ARE ACCEPTED 

Mahatma Gandhi, one of the greatest leaders to have ever lived was thrown out of a train because he was colored. Around the world today, people are rejected because of their color, caste, creed or religion, especially in India. But the God of the Bible accepts us the way we are. Joseph was abused, David was a murderer and adulterer, Rahab was a prostitute, Peter denied Christ but the Bible calls them heroes.

Reality check! Differences, whatever they may be, do not change who you are on the inside! You are a child of the God! Whether you’re fat or skinny, tall or short, yellow or white, today you’ve got to know that you are accepted! Galatians 4:7 says, ‘Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.’

 Acceptance is not merely an invitation into the family of God. It is a whole-hearted welcome that is not bound by space or time. It is an invitation to be an heir! 

Now, the fact is, some of you have had unpleasant relationships where nothing you did seemed to be pleasing or acceptable. No matter what you did, it wasn’t good enough. And, you tend to look at God the same way, wondering: will He reject me? Well, here’s the bald truth: you have been bought with a price and you belong to God! (1 Cor. 6:19). God, through Jesus Christ, has already accepted you. That’s the good news!

Cast your burdens on Him for He cares for you!

Today, if there are aspects about yourself that you struggle with accepting, ask the Father to heal you from rejection. And thank him for accepting you just the way you are.
