Defeating Negative Life Scripts

Do you ever battle with your thoughts? Are there things that have happened, conversations you’ve had, things that were said to you that you keep replaying in your mind and you wish you could just delete the data? Do you struggle with unforgiveness? Do have imaginary conversations with people, thinking, “if they we here right now, this is what I’d say to them”?

All of these things, and many more, are what we call Negative Life Scripts. They’re the tapes that just keep replaying over and over in our minds.

I have good news for you. God can and will break the power of these strongholds in your thoughts. In fact, through Christ, they can be demolished! Reread today’s scripture, “they have divine power to demolish strongholds”. Boom!

PRAYER

For your prayer time today, I want to invite you to listen to what God may want to say to you. I want to invite you to begin by asking God to speak to your heart. I’ll get you started with a few of questions and then your job is to listen to God.

Lord, open the ears of my spirit to hear from you today.

• Jesus, what lie have I been listening to?
• Where did that come from?
• Is there anyone I need to forgive?
• What truth do you want me to know from your word?
