A DARK NIGHT AND A BRIGHT LIGHT

How many days until Christmas Day? Take a few minutes each day, between now and then, to discover what happened on the very first Christmas!

There were no TV cameras in Bethlehem that night; no website or social media to spread the news. God announced the birth of his Son by sending angels!

It was cold and dark on the hillside near Bethlehem. The sheep huddled together. Their shepherds tried to keep warm by the fire and longed for daylight.

Suddenly, the brightest light they had ever seen blazed all around them!

How did they feel? What was the light? Read Luke chapter 2, verse 8 and 9 to find out.

The light was an angel: a messenger from God.

And the shepherds were very afraid!
