Hearing From God

Isn’t it an incredible, outrageous thing that we have the ability to hear from God?! That trips me out! Not only did the God of Heaven and Earth create us, but He give us the ability to hear from Him without our ears melting like wax when He speaks! I think that’s what makes our relationship with God so unique. While we mess up, forget to pick up the proverbial phone and dial heaven, He continues to speak to us. Over and over. The Creator, the one who holds the world in the palm of His hand. God gives us insights and opportunities to hear from Him in so many different ways, and we would be silly to not take the opportunity to hear from Him because He always speaks to bring good. This coming week in our devotional we’re going to look at some of the unique ways that God speaks to us, how people in the Bible heard from Him and how we in our every day lives can hear from Him. 

Prayer: God, our hearts are open to hear from You. As we go through Your Word we pray that You would speak to every person, wherever they find themselves.  We thank You that You’re a speaking God and Your desire is that we, Your children, would hear Your voice. Amen.
