chapter fourteen
1in that time has Herod the Tetrarch heard of Yeshua's fame, 2and has said to his servants: that is John of the (Yarden) mikveh; he is stand up again from the dead; and therefore work in in this way the powers in him. 3because Herod has that John captive taken, and him bound, and put in prison, on account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip. 4because John has to him said: you (SG) allowed her not to have. 5and he has him wanted to kill, and has self afraid before the crowd, because they had him held for a prophet. 6but when they has celebrate Herod's birthday, has Herodias's daughter dance for the guests and is Herod well pleased. 7therefore did he promise with an oath, her to give, what she would request. 8and because she was from previously instructed from her mother, has she said: give me here on a plate John of the (Yarden) mikveh's head. 9and the king is grieved become; but on account of the oaths and the guests, has he commanded it shall given to be. 10and he did send, and permitted John chop off the head in prison. 11and his head is brought become on a plate, and given become the girl, and she has him brought to her mother. 12and his disciples are come, and have taken the body, and him bury was; and are go and have it report Yehoshua.
13and as Yehoshua has this heard, is he of there went away in a boat, on a desert-like place of all alone. and when the crowds of people have it heard, have they him followed on foot from the towns. 14and he is come out, and has seen a great crowd people, and self had compassion on them and healed their sick. 15and towards evening are the disciples come to him, and have said; this is a desolate place of, and the hour is already passed; let therefore off the crowds of people, so that they should go in the villages into, and themselves buy food. 16Yehoshua however has to them said: they have not need to go away; give you (PL) them to eat! 17say they to him: we have here nothing except five loaves bread, and two fish. 18and he has said: bring them here to we. 19and he has commanded the crowds of people themselves sit on the grass; and has taken the five loaves bread, and the two fish, has he looked up to the heaven and made a blessing, and has broken and given the disciples the loaves, and the disciples to the crowds of people. 20and all have eaten, and are filled become, and they have picked up, what is left over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full. 21and those, who have eaten, are was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
22and he has immediately compel the disciples step in in the boat, and to go across before him on the other side of sea, until he will dismiss the crowds of people. 23and when he has had sent away the crowds of, is he went up on the mountain, so that alone prayer to do; and when it is become evening, is he there was all alone. 24the boat however is already was a many miles from the land, hard tossed of the waves; because the wind was against. 25and in the fourth watch of the night is he come to them, walking on the sea. 26and as the disciples have him caught sight of walking on the sea, have they themselves terrified, and said: it is an apparition! and have shouted out of fear. 27Yehoshua however has immediately to them spoken, so to say: be comforted! I am it; has not any fear! 28Peter however has answering to him said: L-rd, if you (SG) are it, command me come to you (SG) on the water! 29and he has said: come! and Peter is went down from boat, and is walking on the water, and come to Yehoshua. 30and than he has seen the strong wind, has he self terrified, and beginning self to drown, has he a shout done, so to say: L-rd, save me! 31and Yehoshua has immediately stretched out his hand, has him seize, and says to him: you (SG) small believer, why you have doubt? 32and when they are step in in boat, has the wind cease. 33and the (ones), who are was in boat, have themselves worship to him, and said: you (SG) are in truth Hashem's Son!
34and they are cross over, and are come to the land Gennesaret. 35and as the people of that place of have him recognized, have they sent in that whole region around, and brought to him all sick; 36and have him begged, that they should only touch the fringe of his clothing; and all, who have touched, are totally healthy become.
