QUALIFYING TO WORK WITH GOD

From time immemorial, God has worked among men, and He is still working today through the Holy Spirit. The working (or divine operations) of God among men is to accomplish His eternal purposes and plans. However, there are three levels at which God works when it concerns His operations among men, especially His people:

a) God works in us,

b) God works for us, and

c) God works with us.

1. GOD WORKING IN YOU

The first level of work that God does among us as His people is to work in us. It is a new birth, when we receive Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord, that God's operations and works start in us. Once, you were not a people, but now you are the people of God. The work of God in us does not stop at this point; the bible says in Philippians 2:13 that “it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.”

From Hebrews 13:20-21, you will see that God wants to work in you. He wants to bring out in you and from you that which is well-pleasing in His sight. One major reason God likes to work with His people is to get us to a place where we become fashioned like Him. The working of God in us will never end. He will continue to work in us until we see Him face to face.

Prayer: Lord, work in me until I become all that you want me to be. Mould me and shape me into a vessel that is pleasing and fit for you in Jesus’ name. Amen!
