Day 3: Deceived and Distracted In my colorful imagination, there’s a conference room in hell, and in that conference room is a whiteboard with your name on it. I imagine Satan, our enemy, with all his imps and demons keeping track of our weak points and temptations and all the places where we've had our hearts broken. I imagine them talking about me saying, “Let's attack her self-esteem while she’s young. She has a big assignment in life and if we catch her at a young age, by the time she’s in ministry, she will be too damaged to live there fully.” The enemy will use the issues of your life to make you envious, jealous, doubtful, and fearful. He wishes he can convince you to give up. In his quest to keep you from God, he will not limit himself to the truth about your life. Satan is the ultimate deceiver. In John 8:44, Jesus calls him a liar and the father of lies! He's been lying since the beginning of time. He lied to Eve in the Garden of Eden and told her that she should eat from the Tree of Knowledge. He flattered her, tempted her, and lied to her until she looked away and began to question what God said. That changed history. Today, he uses those same lies to deceive you, distract you, and separate you from God’s blessings. The more you grow in your walk with Christ, the more the enemy will try and kill your influence. He has one goal: to steal, kill, and destroy your abundant life in Christ. Don’t let him trick you. God has great plans for you, and you are a “glory reflector” to the world. Don't let the enemy steal that from you! Keep your eyes on Jesus and stand on His Word. He is building your story! Whatever you've been through does not have to be the end of you! Surrender it to Jesus and let Him use you for His Glory.
