Mary's TreasureBeispiel
Heirs Written in the Stars
The moment he crowned a light blazed in the sky
A new star proclaiming the king had arrived.
It beamed to the ends of the earth as sure proof,
Light slanted in right through the cracks of the roof.
When Abraham gazed at the star-studded night,
Of long-promised heirs pledged his old age despite,
The star those realms lacked now appeared to confirm
God’s covenant kept and a new one affirmed.
A ray fell upon fluffy lamb’s woolen fleece.
A sheep in the stable had shed this small piece.
I cherished it planning to ponder this star,
Foretelling forgiveness through spotless lamb’s scars.

In this devotional written from the perspective of Jesus' mother, Mary vulnerably and honestly details the intimate moments of her experience as a mom. In each compelling scene, Mary treasures a small token to remember it by. Little does she know the divine significance each item will play in the ultimate purpose of her son’s role on earth.
