On Way to Serve YouUddrag
THERE ARE LOAVES AND FISHES; SHALL WE GO?
I recommend reading the reference verses first.
While the people of Israel were in the desert, God was with them at all times. They saw His hand working in their favor, but do you know what happened? They followed God for the benefits, and when there was something that did not convince them much, they looked for their own ways. And that did not please the Lord, so they wandered for 40 years in the desert, and a few of them managed to enter the promised land.
The Apostle Paul warns us that this should be a counterexample for us. Many followed Jesus for the loaves and fishes, but were unwilling to take up their cross to become true disciples. Honestly, many times we like Christ the Savior, but we don't like Jesus Christ the Lord! We want to go our way.
Let's be careful how we are living. Not everything truly suits us; not everything edifies us. "If you think you are standing, be careful not to fall" (1 Corinthians 10:12).
Walking distracted by the things that the world offers us, living for the pleasures of the flesh, are the ways to fall into temptation, my friend. Do not let evil win in your own being because you will become its slave. It is time to take care of others; God will take care of all our needs. He already knows them. Let us put aside selfishness, indifference, and pride, and live for God, which really is gain for the Kingdom and for ourselves. Jesus left His throne, lowered Himself to be a man, humbled Himself to death on the cross, and all for pure love. None of us had to pay him for saving us; he paid for us.
Application: Is our love for God and for others self-interested? Or do we serve from the heart without expecting anything in return? What should I do about it?
Advice: Remember that this is YOUR time with God; ask the Holy Spirit for revelation of the Word. Do not think first of another person, or make a general reflection; think about your life, about what God wants with you, and then help others.
Prayer: Lord, in this hour I realize that there are areas of my life in which Christ is not Lord. Today I ask your forgiveness with all my heart, and I beg you to illuminate every corner of my being with your light and that your kingdom come into my life and my family and take over the government. Keep praying in your own words.
Om denne plan
I encourage you to start your next three days thinking about who you are in Christ. And that every day, you can look in the mirror of the soul, and see where you stand as a disciple, and lift your eyes to where you should go by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
