21 Days: Revive Us AgainUddrag
DAY 21: REVIVAL FIRE
Reflection:
Have you ever witnessed a fierce wildfire engulfing vast stretches of land? Wildfires, under optimal conditions, spread rapidly and devour everything in their path, often proving difficult to extinguish.
Revival, like wildfire, is not meant to be a warm, cozy fireplace. It is not a fleeting season that comes and goes. Instead, revival is meant to consume and transform us unceasingly, stoking up flames of revival in the lives of those around.
Just like how wildfires burn most intensely under optimal conditions, we can create optimal conditions in our hearts for the fires of revival to keep burning. To do that, we can start by practicing three spiritual disciplines.
First, we can practice the discipline of reading the Word. This helps us to realign our lives with God's truth and to renew our minds with His perspectives and pursuits.
Secondly, we can practice the discipline of regular prayer. This fosters consistent surrender to the Lord and what He wants to do in our lives. It nurtures our trust in God that He can bring revival in us and through us.
Lastly, we can practice the discipline of thankfulness, which guards our hearts against discouragement, allowing us to recognize the little victories that pave the way for God's promises to be fulfilled.
Discipline acts as the bellows to fan the flames of revival, ensuring they burn brightly in our lives and allowing others around us to experience the warmth and transformation of God's love.
Response:
In the past 21 days, you have seen a glimpse of what revival could look like in your life. You can continue to live and grow in revival as you position your life well through discipline. What are some disciplines you want to start practicing? Make a list of actions you would like to implement.
Thank God for how He has blessed you in the past 21 days. As you look ahead, ask Him for continued joy and strength to practice the disciplines that will help you grow in your faith and relationship with Him.
May you continue to be revived and transformed by the Holy Spirit each day!

Revival. We may have sung it. Prayed for it. Declared it. Most times, revivals are invisible, gradual, and start up quietly in the place that matters the most – in our hearts.
