Christ Manifested in Us—Part 1

DAG 1 AF 7

Christ Manifested In Us

Let us be grateful, not only for the blessings but for the manifestation of Christ in us. We have the mind of Christ, the faith of the Son of God, the life of the Son, and the Spirit of the Son. We know that Christ’s manifestation in us is the main reason we are grateful.

Romans 8:19 tells us that, “All creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.” God’s eternal purpose is something that cannot be accomplished without Christ being manifested in and through our lives. The promise we have is that this Son of blessing will be manifested in us—our lives will manifest the Son.

Let us take an example from the Old Testament: Abraham, who was the first recipient of the good news, the first with whom God shared the essence of the gospel. Abraham is the father of faith because he was told the gospel and believed it. What is the gospel? The good news Abraham received and believed was that through him, from his offspring, a Seed would come (Galatians 3:16), a Son that would be the blessing for all the nations of the earth.

That is good news! Out of the land that had fallen under the curse, ruled by people with Adam’s sinful nature, God took a man named Abraham and shared the good news with him. God said, “This land that is in spiritual darkness, because people do not know my truth, is going to change. I will bring this change about through a Son, a Seed, who will be born from your descendants and who will be a blessing to all nations.”

Abraham believed this promise without having a single child. Before God spoke to him, his name was Abram (no h and only one a). God told him, “Now your name is going to be Abraham, which means ‘father of nations.’” When someone would ask Abraham what his name was, he’d answer, “I’m the father of nations.” The question that most likely followed was, “How many children do you have?” His answer would be, “I don’t have any yet, but I am the father of many nations.”

Abraham believed God, had faith, simply received the promise, and waited for it to be fulfilled. In Christ, we can also believe in what God tells us, receive it, and wait for it to be fulfilled.

Christ Manifested in Us—Part 1

In this plan, we will talk about being grateful, not just for our blessings, but for Christ being manifested in us. There are several things that we should be grateful in this regard, for example, we have the mind of Christ, the faith of the Son of God, the life of the Son, and the Spirit of the Son.
