God Knows What’s Really Important
Nick: In 1 John 5:14, we see that in the confidence that we have in Him, when we we ask anything according to His will, He will hear us. I've been reflecting on the fact that you have not because you asked not. There's probably a lot more that I could be asking for and relying on. There's probably a lot more stress that I'm taking on that I don't need to take on, or, that differential between what I can control and what I can't.
Gio: I'm very achievement-oriented, task-oriented, and very goal-oriented. There's a temptation to put a lot of my stock and my hope in those things.
I want to do well in my job, and be a good steward because that's what I've been entrusted with. I have a tendency to focus a lot on achievements, or the outstanding task list, etc.. Personally, I've been praying for God to show me how He can help me see my relationship with Him more clearly, and more upfront than those things that take my attention.
Through asking God, and speaking to him about my situation. He revealed to me what Micah 6:8 says, "what does the Lord require of you? But to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."
That's what He requires of us. I want to be more upfront focused on walking with Him, and less focused on my tasks.
God will provide for things that are outside of our control, or even things I mess up. There are a lot of heroes in scripture who mess things up, but God. He is faithful, just, and merciful.

Om denne plan
Entrepreneurs often get all the credit when a business venture succeeds. Sure, we bear the risk, but if things go our way, people tend to make our successes all about us. But what if our lives pointed to someone other than ourselves? What if we focused less on us?
