Continuous Revelation Flows at the Heart of GodSampl
‘Revelation flows at the heart of God, day and night’. This is the first sentence you see when you visit my website. These aren’t just some fancy words, but it’s a statement with which I'd like to invite and stir you and make you hungry for more of God.
I want to show you where I got this from and why I dare to make such a bold statement. There is a lot written about heaven, the place of the throne of God in the book of Revelation. What it looks like and what happens there. Listen to this: ‘there is a sea of glass and a rainbow of emerald around the throne of God.’ There are creatures around His throne, with eyes in front, in back and within them. Their eyes continually see something new of Who God is and they are in such awe and wonder about what they're seeing, that they cry: ’holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.’ Wow… These creatures have eyes on the outside as well as on the inside. Eyes of the heart, you could say. Eyes that see Who God really is and discover something new of His Majesty and omnipotence and of His creativity and goodness, every moment. It is a revelation that flows and flows and flows and never stops. There, at the heart of God, without any cover, He shows Who He is.
This is an overwhelming truth, infinitely great is He! But did you know that this place, that looks so different from the world we live in, a place of holiness, a supernatural dimension, is accessible to you! The curtain was torn when Jesus died. The curtain that separated the world from the place where God lives. The way that was closed since the garden of Eden, opened through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. From that moment on it became possible for anyone who believes in Jesus to come in the presence of God. Not just for the few, no longer through animal-sacrifice and burnt offerings, but through the blood of the perfect sacrifice Jesus Christ Himself. The curtain fell and the way was open to the throne of God from that moment on. It is open for anyone who no longer trusts in his own works but believes in the finished work of Jesus.
If the way to God is opened for you as a believer, you can receive revelation. Not on certain times, not just when you behave perfectly, not just on Sundays but at any moment: day and night.
Do you believe that? Talk to God about it and then be quiet so you can hear what He wants to say.
