The Kingdom of GodSampl
Entering this Kingdom
As was mentioned previously, this kingdom is yet to be fully established. Until that day, we are meant to live lives worthy of the calling we have received—a calling to be ambassadors of this kingdom. This calling changes our entire existence. Being transferred out of darkness and into light affects every fiber of our being. And with this amazing transformation, we are privileged with the task of asking others to join us. We get to beckon others to come and see who our Jesus truly is.
When we dialogue with neighbors, loved ones, those we come in contact with, we represent our King. As his representatives, we too, proclaim the kingdom of God. We describe our great King and his accomplishments. As ambassadors, our message is the gospel of Jesus Christ: his being God, becoming man, living a perfect life, dying a wrath-satisfying death for sinners who were separated from God, being buried, rising again and one day returning to make all things perfect. By explicitly proclaiming the gospel and living out its realities as light-bearers, we genuinely invite others to join us in this kingdom.
To enter in, they must be born again. This too, is a work of God. We proclaim the good news of Jesus, but God causes the growth. We preach the gospel of the kingdom, but the Holy Spirit grants new birth. The miracle of salvation is just that-miraculous! Just as Jesus opened the eyes of the blind while walking the earth, he continues to open the eyes of those spiritually blinded through the preaching of his ambassadors. While Satan tries to snatch away the gospel seeds we scatter and keep people in the dark, God’s light overcomes the dark and sets people free.
God by grace through faith makes dead sinners alive in Christ Jesus. The “Prince of the Power of the Air” who rules in the world and tries to keep men captive has no choice but to submit to the will of the King of Kings. His dead prisoners come alive and enter into Christ’s Kingdom.

As believers, we have been transferred from a kingdom of darkness into the glorious kingdom of the Son of God. This devotion will explore the King of the kingdom, the nature of his kingdom, the requirements of entry into the kingdom, what it means to be a member of the kingdom and our privilege to beckon others to enter this kingdom.
