Proverbs – Sayings Of SolomonSampl
Reigning in Life: Part 2
Our Father wants us to succeed. Why else would he give us an entire book full of wisdom to help us reign in life?
The fear of the Lord recognizes the vast difference between our limits and his infiniteness. He sees the end from the beginning and knows the outcome of every decision before it is made. Why, then, would we be so foolish as to make decisions on our own? If our Father has offered his perspective, insight, wisdom, and instruction to help guide us to good outcomes in our decisions, why would we ever strike out on our own?
Instead, we follow the advice of Solomon by committing our work to the Lord, seeking his purposes for our lives, and pursuing intimacy with him, both in our heart and our actions.
When we do this, we have the promise of provision in our way. We also have assurance that our steps will not fail and that our Father will cause even those who hate us to be at peace with us. We are not alone. We are part of a divine family! Let us not seek our own ways, but instead walk with our Father. He will establish us and give us success.
Are there any important plans for the future that you’re making right now? Take time right now to sense his leading and commit those plans to the Lord. What do you feel him saying to you about your plans?

Proverbs is the greatest book of wisdom ever written, mostly penned by the wisest man to ever live. God gave his servant Solomon this wisdom to pass along to us, his servants, who continue the ministry of Jesus, the embodiment of wisdom, until he returns in full glory. This 13–day reading plan, inspired by The Passion Translation Proverbs: Wisdom from Above, includes the sayings of Solomon from Proverbs 10-22.
