Lord, forgive me for my woefully inadequate worship. Tune my heart to harmonize with the worship offered by the angels, who see You face to face. Forgive my wholly inappropriate sense of entitlement. Let me recognize the amazing and undeserved benefits You have already provided and the unimaginable delights You are preparing for me, so that I might rejoice in gratitude for Your generosity.

Protect my heart from distractions through worldly pursuits or anxieties. Flood my entire being with meditations centered on You and Your Kingdom, in order that my life, worship, and soul might be infused with Your essence. Let my food and drink be Your word and Your voice. Let my faith be my peace as my spirit is knit more fully into Your presence.

Open Hearts, Hands, Homes, Heavens 

Lord, You are the One who opens and no one can shut. Please open the hearts of Your people to love what You love, to hate what You hate, and to desire what You desire. Open the hearts of those who do not love You to receive Your love. Give them the faith to respond to Your worthiness with their submission, gratitude, and devotion.

Open the hands of Your people to serve as an expression of Your blessing, grace, mercy, and love. As we have been blessed, let us be a blessing to others. Let our generosity and compassion toward one another be a testimony of unity that brings glory to Your Name. Let our concern and care for the hurting and needy be a demonstration of Your grace that causes people to glorify Your Name. Let our sacrifices of service mirror Your own sacrifice and thus draw people to You.

May our homes be open as places of constant worship and trophies of Your grace. Teach us how to live such lives of hospitality that we might bring respite, fellowship, and support to the souls of those who enter. Let their spirits be refreshed and made to desire more of You when they enter and experience the relationships and fellowship made possible by Your life in us.

Open the heavens to release the benefits of the abundant life to Your family on earth. Let us be conduits of Your blessings. As strangers on the earth, let Your Kingdom culture be modeled in Your people as a strange and wonderful curiosity in this broken world. Help us keep our eyes fixed on the open heavens so that we might be always responsive to Your will and ways. Make us sensitive to Your direction and intention.
